Create a waldorf wool bee

make a woollen bee
Rub Some Dirt On It has a mini tutorial for making these warm woollen bee decorations that look great hung anywhere in the house or even outside.
You will need small pinecones and yellow and black wool amongst other things. We love the rustic nature of these creations and that little hands can help to make them.

Easter Bees to make and bake and buy

Some ideas for all you bee lovers that incorporate bees and Easter - especially if you ascribe to the view that Easter is about new life and spring I think bees should be in there with the bunnies, eggs and chicks, don't you?

Isn't this a beautiful decorated egg from Idora Designs where she explains how she painted it.

What flowers can I plant to attract bees?

Here is a list of plants that attract bees to your garden.
Why is this a good thing to do?

Growing some bee friendly plants in your garden, like herbs or native plants, helps the environment.
  • Bees need pollen & nectar in order to feed their colony in their hive.
  • Bees pollinate the flowers which produce fruit and seeds.
  • Pollination helps us as well as birds and wildlife because it provides food.
